Change in the Weather

Talk about a dramatic weather forecast! This is the latest from NOAA on the Upper Lynn Canal for the next few days. This also means today's ferry has been canceled, and there are no home basketball games this weekend, since the Petersburg boys and girls teams can't get here now. The wind has picked up on the beach, and it's not too cold yet, but there is definitely a change coming:

Good thing we walked before it gets too crazy.. but don't you love how the ebbing tide froze onto the sand? Tonight First Friday is still on, with fish chowder to warm you up at the Arts Confluence office, and an art show in the Brewery. Also, today is Epiphany, and that means the tree in the library needs to come down. Volunteers are needed beginning tomorrow morning at 10 to help un-decorate the library.
